About Allison's Practice
Swisher Counseling, LLC., is pleased to provide the services of Allison Swisher. She has something of a storied history, as she first became interested in helping people while working as a teacher. This caused her to pursue a career as a school counselor in the year 2000, and her growing interest in play therapy and other more specialized forms of counseling made her decide to branch out into her own practice.
Allison has many years of experience working with children and families, as such experience comes secondhand to her chosen career path. She has tailored her services towards children and families dealing with anxiety, conflict, self regulation, and self-esteem issues. She provides family counseling, parental counseling, and individual counseling.

Meet our counseling resident, Fatima Haris
As a Resident in Counseling with a background in school counseling, I’m passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults to help them navigate life’s challenges. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques to support clients in managing anxiety, depression, and adjustment struggles. With my school counseling experience, I understand the unique pressures this age group faces, and I strive to create a welcoming, safe space for them to explore and grow. I’m also dedicated to continuously learning and enhancing my counseling skills through ongoing training, so I can offer the most effective, up-to-date support. I believe in working collaboratively with parents and guardians, providing them with tools and strategies to create a nurturing, supportive environment at home.
